You cannot visit the North unless you have truly experienced wines from Bologna and Modena, where sparkling or so-called bubbled wines are very typical. In recent years, we have met so many winemakers who are real “vignaioli“, i.e. they take care of their grapevines just like they do with their beloved children.
You may meet in fact winemakers who can be third-to-fifth generation family. Winemakers who used to play catch as little children in the vineyards, grew up respecting their land and experiencing the hard work, breathing in the wine-harvest, the must fermenting in the cellar…
What’s the result? They respect the terroir: the land, the climate and man’s ability to adapt to nature and global warming in order to produce a balanced wine that leaves you with a true emotion.

Besides guided-tours to the most historic or high-rates wineries of Bologna and Modena, with tasting CDO- and CGDO-certified wines (the new Italian sparkler Pignoletto, Barbera, Merlot, and Lambrusco, to mention a few), paired with typical products such as Prosciutto di Modena, Parmigiano Reggiano and Bologna Mortadella.
